Is it possible for an object to go towards the centre of the universe?

Since everything is by default moving away from the centre of the universe and there is nothing beyond it (everything) to slow it down, is it possible to send an object back towards the centre of the big bang explosion?

The rest are right, there is no center, at least insofar as we can understand and perceive it.

The universe has no center.

AT THE SAME TIME

Everywhere is the center.

Confused? Yeah, it's confusing. But consider that there is no center because there are no boundaries to the universe. There is no wall at the far end that you reach if you head in one direction for a long time.

If you were to head in one direction for a loooooong time, you would eventually get back to where you started. It's kinda like how if you take a plane on Earth going west you'll eventually get back to your starting point.

Basically, the universe loops back around on itself. Therefore, the shape of the universe cannot really be understood by us visually because it is not a 3D shape. It has more dimensions.

But the bottom line: there is no center because everywhere is the center.

there is no centre. the big bang happened everywhere, and everything is moving away from everything else. think of the galaxies being like ants on the surface of a balloon that's being blown up. remember that the balloon is really large (possibly infinite) and the ants are confined to the surface (the center of the balloon does not correspond to a real place in space, in this analogy).
