Is it possible for a high school dropout to get a career in sports journalism?

I've been going through a lot lately (Depression, family issues, on meds for about 3 months etc.) and I still feel that sickness of just "going" to school. The teachers pushing me, the work that I simply feel is useless in doing, the idiots in my classroom that judge me when I miss school... I feel that all the courses i'm taking now are totally useless to me because of the career in journalism I want to take. I'm not going to any big name schools, and I don't want to take any "stupid courses" because I have the motivation and the overall logic of succeeding in life, and I will do whatever it takes to get into this career, as it is a career that I know I will enjoy very much. Anyways, could I get some help here (WITHOUT people judging me on my decisions)?

You know a sports journalist has to take a lot of cr"p sometimes, so this is good preparation. It will get better in college. Most high school kids are immature and just look for stuff to pick on you for. When you're famous, they'll all be saying, "I went to school with HIM!".
