Is it okay to use the same middle name as my sister in law in naming our baby?

While camping, a few months ago, I told my sister in law that when I got pregnant again with my 3rd, I would use the middle name "Jane"after my grandmother. She just delivered 2 weeks ago and low and behold, used Jane.... as the middle name. Truth is this could be boy #3 because I am only 15 weeks preg, but if it's a girl...can I use the name I always had my heart set on?????
Or should I just start from scratch???
Thanks to all...my grandmother meant the world to me and I can't imagine a better way to feel connected to her!!!

It is fine. It's a family name and you have just as much of a right as she does. Jane is a really great name and if you want it, use it. Maybe you'll have a boy and not have to worry about it.

Your sister in law was out of line naming the child without asking you first.

Follow your heart. You've got the right to name your child anything, and if sil gets upset, remind her that it was your name first.
