My boyfriend has been in navy boot camp for almost two months now. I have been dating him for a little over a year. About two weeks ago I found out that he has been sending letters to a girl that he had a thing with about a month before boot camp. We were still together at the time but I was angry with him and said that I wasn't going to talk to him. That same day that I said that he said that he had wanted to kiss her when they were hanging out.
I sent him a letter asking him to please not talk to her because it really bothers me. He just called me today and said that that letter mad him angry and "he doesn't know if he will stop talking to her because before he left he promised her that they would keep in touch so he would be breaking a promise to her".
Shouldn't me being comfortable and not worried be more important than him talking to her still? Is asking him to not talk to her anymore unreasonable for me to ask?
