I like cutting up chicken breast to make fried chicken tenders. I cook them in boiling oil until done.

Is it ok to thaw the chicken on the counter if I cook it afterward? Shouldn't the cooking kill off any bacteria that accumulates when it's thawing?

yup that's fine, thaw the chicken on a plate though, and after cooking wipe down the worktops to make sure no bacteria are present....keep ur hands clean too after handling chicken...making sure that the chicken is white and cooked through means all the bacteria will be gone

Yes,I do it all the time.I recommend using a cookie sheet to catch any bacteria as it melts to limit the clean up.
Also, putting the cookie sheet under the cutting board helps catch any blood while carving it up.Thus,Less mess cleaning

No its not ok. I used to work in a grocery store so I no. ANY meant needs to be thawed out in the fridge. The max amount of time you should have it on the counter is 10 minutes and you need to cook it immediately after those 0 minutes.
