So there's a food joint that has $6.50 for a buffet and they offer a take out too and they give me a box. What I do is fill it up with a lot of stuff (practically all meat: chicken, beef, fish, pork etc) and then eat it with rice at home. That way I can make the whole thing last for at least 4 meals.
I've asked the manager if it was OK for me to fill the box with anything I like and he said its fine. The last time I went, I was busy filling the box up, here comes a waitress, picks out one thing and says to herself "at least I should get *something* to eat". It looked like it was a remark at me for being the food hog - or maybe not, I really don't know. If the manager has said its OK, then it should be fine. If they give us a box, I should technically be able to fill it with anything I like. If they don't want me taking that much, they should give me a smaller box. I don't think I'm violating any rules or manners - am I?
What do you guys do when you do a buffet take out? Do you just take what you'd eat for one meal? Or do you fill it up with lots of stuff so you can eat it at home later in multiple meals?
