is it ok to put sliced cheese in a cut on chicken near end of cooking or would it ruin?

Marinated chicken breast,in fridge,was going to cut a gap in chicken and add a hunk of cheese to melt and also wrap some bacon around the chicken to add the finishing touch,do you recommend or have a better idea?
 
Cutting it after it has already started cooking will most likely dry the chicken out.

Pound the chicken out thin. Roll with cheese then wrap with bacon and bake.
