I ask cause after I have done this it looks as if the bullet is receding into the casing more. And when I put a fresh 45 round next to it the fresh is a little taller. R the rounds still safe to shoot?
Cane, I agree with what you say, it makes sense. Here is another question for you. I carry concealed and how is this any different when every time I take my gun I chamber a round. When I get back home I unload it, and put it back in the mag. Then repeat the whole process the next time I go out. Why have I not notice the bullet recede before.
And I did end up throwing it away. Im an experience gun owner I have shot for many years. But I dont do reloads, and I just bought a new Kimber, but sometimes when I release the slide stop it doesnt go into battery. I know the gun is fitted very tight and needs to be broke in, so I though if I cycled some ammo through it just by racking the slide it may loosen up some. Then I noticed the shorten round never seen it before so thought I would ask to be safe. the gun is rated for +p ammo, but to be safe I through it away. but while Im here any body know why it fails to go into battery sometime, when I release the slide stop. Is it cause it just needs to be broke in. When I have taken it to the range it has shot flawless any ideas
