I'm just wondering are these all a pretty standard thing? I just bought a indoor trainer for the upcoming winter and big surprise my quick release doesn't fit in it, but it came provided with a skewer that does fit. I've never had to change one before but it looks pretty simple, just wondering if they're all basically made of the same quality and if it would be ok to change it and leave it changed (ie. take it out on the road)? I don't like messing with standard parts much though...
