hi.
so we sometimes have walnuts in a box on the floor or outside to dry, and my dog always takes one, chews it open (yes, the shell) and eats the inside. i keep telling her not to and i always take the box away, but my mom says it doesnt matter and always puts the box back. isn't it dangerous for her to chew the shell? because the parts are sharp and pointy, and walnut for a dog...what do you think?
thanks :-)

It seems fine. I have a tree outside my house that puts out walnuts, so we have a lot of them and my dog occasionally picks one up, that is fully shelled, cracks it, and eats what he can get out. It has never hurt him, so I assume your dog will be fine.
