Is it o.k. to put a K&N air filter on a 2007 Mercury Monterey V-6 4.2L?

I've done these filters on many cars, seems to boost 'em. Asking cuz new cars are all so computer controlled.
 
I have installed K & N products on many late model cars and never experienced a problem. Just use the filter or cold air intake that was designed for the car. K & N has done all of the research for you. Just install and drive.
My K & N Installs on personal cars.
2006 Mercedes AMG SLK55
2004 Ford F350 Powerstroke
2004 Toyota MR2
2002 Ford Ranger 2.5
2002 Jeep Liberty 3.7
All were computer controlled.
