I am 26yo, and two weeks ago had my first grand mal seizure. I go for an EEG next week. The dr thinks that i have been having seizures for a while now because of some strange sleep habits i have. Also, when i had the seizure two weeks ago i had been taking gabapentin for some nerve pain. (been on it for 6months). Well, yesterday I was at home with ym kids and hubby and suddenly got a sharp pain in the right side of my head and in my ear. It sort of felt like an earache but way worse. I layed down, and dont remeber anything after that. My husband just said that I layed there and held my head and when he tried speaking to me i was not making any sence. He said i got up a few times and told him that i needed to get the kids bath ready (it was bath time and they are 2&3). After about 5 minutes, I got off the couch and felt like nothing had ever happened. I have ever had any other health problems before and this is really scary to me. Any personal experiences about this or seizures in general would be great!
is it normal to have a sharp pain in my head right before an absence seizure?
