This has happened with guys too. But I met up with a girl for the second time yesterday to build a friendship. She asked me lots of personal questions about herself. She used to be single but has found love and kept asking how I am living by myself, if I have friends, if I have family, if have pets. Then she wanted to know what it was like with my parents being divorced, and my siblings living far away, and not seeing my dad for 20 years, and how it felt to get back in touch with him. I just found all this too much for a second meeting. She seemed to freak out and apologised for asking so many questions then left quickly. What went on? Am I just overreacting? I feel flat today. Afterwards she kept saying how smart and lovely I was, but it was as if she was trying to make up for something.
Is it normal to feel weird when people ask personal questions?
