I've had my iPhone for 6 months and I've already had to replace my original cord, and now this cord is wearing out. The covering is tearing very close to the plug-in area's on both sides (the USB and the part that goes into the phone) and the inside wires are showing. They were both official Apple iPhone charging cords (the white ones) I usually have to charge my phone twice a week, but this just seems really quick to wear like that...I try my hardest not to bend the cord at the plug-in area's, but my caution doesn't seem to be helping...
I do, I make sure that I never pull from the cord itself
Also, I have a cabinet I keep all my cords in when it's not in use, so it's not just lying around
