Is it normal for pre-period symptoms to be stronger if I missed a period last month?

I was supposed to have my period last month (January) on the 22nd. I am 22 and have always been regular with my periods, except for this last month, which is highly unusual for me. The chance of me even getting pregnant is very slim, because I didn't have sex, but I did "fool around" last month (once).

Anyway, I have taken a total of four early response pregnancy tests: 5 days after missed period, 8 days after missed period, 12 days after missed period, and 14 days after missed period. All are negative.

Today I have noticed my nipples feel raw and one of them is very dry, for some reason, which is also not normal for me. My right side of my abdomen above my crotch was hurting today, too. It kind of feels like my nipples are chapped. Usually when I get my period, I will just have cramping the day before and then will start. If ovulation did not occur last month, should I have my period around the time I usually have it (the 22nd)? And are these symptoms normal for pms?
