My fiance hasn't spoken with his dad's family for about 8 yrs,
I know he had a fight with his dad, and ever since he stopped full contact with his dad & family
I met him 6 yrs ago and I have never met anyone in his family, except for his mom...
Last year we got engaged... I always told my fiance that I wanted to meet his family before the weeding (apparently is the only time he thinks is ok for him to see them, but in the meantime he doesnt even like to talk about them)
Not long after, I got pregnant... so I decided that at least his grandma (who has mailed him letters before) should know that she was going to be a great-grandmother, regardless of my fiance and his dad's troubles
So I asked for her phone number, my fiance told me to ask his mom permission first (wtf right??), so I ask his mom (my soon 2b in law), and she told me she would not give me any info because she thought it was weird, so she will tell her herself...
Obviously she didnt, because we never got a congrats call or letter... so I decided to dig into our stuff and found the envelope of an old Grandma's letter and decided to contact my fiance's Grandma...
I told her all about our wedding plans, and sent her pictures of our baby girl... She called me the day she received the letter so excited and happy, and wants to visit in a few months.. then my fiance's dad send me a beautiful thank you letter, saying he was very grateful to see his granddaughter pictures...

Now, I haven't told my fiance none of this, I know he will b mad, since he hates talking about his dad... but, I told his grandma, she deserved to know, right?? please share your thoughts
