I have a 2007 cbr600rr with a two bros exhaust. Everybody tells me to take off the heat shield but i am a bit skeptical of doing so. i have heard that they aren't necessary and wont make a difference when they are removed. I have seen many bikes without heatshields and owners say they run fine and have no problems with them. So is it ok to remove the heat shield? What would the consequences be?
