Is it LPR?

About 6 weeks ago I started having breathing problems, it got so bad I thought I couldnt catch my breath, cant get a full breath in. still have the problem but now my mouth burns and my chest burns when I take a deep breathe. Seems worse when I cough. I have a appt with a GI doc next month. Does anyone else have these symptoms?
What could this be?
 
It definitely could be GERD. It might be LPR. If your LES isn't functioning properly and acid comes up the esophagus, it can actually result in lung irritation and possible aspiration resulting in the difficulty breathing and possible inflammation of asthma. You can also get a chronic cough and throat irritation that is LPR.
