Ok so I live in California and my husband's grandmother is in a nursing home because his aunt and dad want her in there and they have guardianship over her. Well the day before thanksgiving my father in law called and that they are putting grandma (who mind you is 94 years old and in good health) on hospice..they said that doctors think she only has 6 months to live. When we heard this we were shock because grandma seems in great health but we accepted it because she has had a long life.
Anyways today my father in law calls and says "that they have removed grandma off hospice because she is doing well and they are also going to stop giving her all of her medicine to speed up her death" because they feel like they are just prolonging what they already know is gonna happen one day. My question is that has to be illegal to take someones meds away so they can dis faster? I know its inhumane but I want to know is there anything we can do to stop them?
