I am a college student, and I have been riding my bicycle to school for nearly 5 months now. Everyday, I would ride on the sidewalk to school for roughly 3.5 miles. Almost everyday, I would see at least one police car or motorcycle. Matter of fact, I've ridden my bike past cops, who were waiting to ticket speeders, numerous times. They looked at me, but never stop and ticket me. Maybe it's because my average speed is only 7 miles per hour (I live 3.5 miles from school and I take roughly 30 minutes to commute.), and that there are not many people on the sidewalk most of the time. I also don't wear a helmet and my bike doesn't have a back flasher. It only has a flashlight in the front.
I tried to google for the laws and found that it's illegal to ride your bicycle on the sidewalk in most cities. I didn't find a specific one for Las Vegas.
