Is it legal to be a scheduler at a business when family members are on the pay roll?

I work midnights at a bonding agency in ohio. When I was first hired one of the girls refused to work midnights so i was working 12am-8am five nights a week. This Girl just happens to be the person who makes our schedules daughter. After a few months of being here she had suddenly changed her mind when hours were getting cut and of course got her way since her mother makes the schedule.
Also the schedulers sons girlfriend just recently got hired back on who lives with the woman making our schedules and she got the other half of my shifts. I went from working 40 hours plus a week to 30 hrs and no midnights which is what i was hired for.She stuck me on afternoons which im not even trained for and I just didn't know if she was allowed to do this or not.
