Is it legal for Queensland police to arrest me for using my I phone to capture them

abuseing a man already lah? I was walking to cab rank when I heard screams and a crowd building. I approched and noticed a man on ground obviously hurt and so pulled my I phone out and taped it. When man was run inside I could still here him screaming. About 30 seconds later I was approched by police and told I must hand my phone over as it was now evidence. I gave them my details but refused to hand my phone over as the evidence was about these officers and I feared they would delete it. I was then man handled and smashed into a wall then takin inside cop shop forced to floor and in doing so the police have broken my elbow and I end up in hospital.. Surely we the public have some power to see that powers arnt abused.. I'm now charged with assult on officer and 2 charges of obstructing and as I feared footage missing and phone givin back a month later shattered
