Is it just me, or does the Libyan war appear to be fake?

I have been following the story on American cable news channels, and a great deal of the footage seems "produced" to me. I see the same "rebels", wearing old American fatigues, driving the same white pickup truck (the spraypaint gets more elaborate, but the same truck), there seems to be a lot of firing of guns into the air (like an Iraqi wedding?) and a lot of talk, but not the same sort of "real war footage" I have seen from Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc... Also, why are there no rebel leaders? Why can't this huge, armed insurgency get rid of Ghaddaffi? They have NATO (American) air support. Why can't they even take over and hold isolated desert towns? Anderson Cooper has run some (in my opinion) questionable video of this conflict, includeing rebels with american accents, and some recent hospital footage(the guy in scrubs gets mad and kicks a wall? is House being filmed there?) that looked scripted to me, has anyone else noticed anything strange about the video that airs on cable news? Is it possible that the whole "Libya Thing" isnt even a popular uprising? Has anyone seen any huge crowds of civilians like Tahrir square? Has anyone seen any crowds of Libyan protesters that number more than twenty or thirty? Has anyone seen anything that couldn't have been shot on a soundstage in Burbank? Or in the New Mexico desert? I believe there are popular uprisings in the region, I have seen compelling footage of Bahrain, Yemen, Syria and Egypt, so why does Libya seem so phoney? I am pretty sure there is a war there (once we started dropping bombs there was a war), its just that the lead-up seemed contrived and false, perhaps sensationalized (Libyan rape victim? do we bomb whole countries for that now?) I don't expect any real answers, it is, after all, a rhetorical question, I just want to know if anyone else feels like maybe less is going on than meets the eye?

This proposition is outrageous. It's not even a war yet. The US has not declared war, neither has the NATO forces. It is just a battle for now. It can't be fake. The only reason why there is no definite rebel leader is because they are not organized and rogue, separated forces. Time will tell.
