Is it just me, or are there too many cop shows on TV these days?

NCIS, CSI, Law and Order, 24, The Unusuals, Fringe, Prison Break, The Mentalist, Criminal Minds, Cold Case, Bones, Lie To Me, Castle....

Doctor shows too.

House, ER, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Nip/Tuck, Scrubs...

Can't we get anything original these days? For example LOST is awesome... I am sick of all the cop shows.
 
Yeah, it seems to be Hospital, Cops, and Reality TV. That's the only choices right now. Someone should write a new show!
 
Yea, it is kinda annoying...how many law and orders are there? isn't there like law and order, law and order svu, law and order CI...Now the ER people went with the new show Southland...I like Greys, Private Practice, ER and House. I don't really like the Cops - but there is a TON of both.

I miss shows like Full House, Buffy (I hear the CW is getting a vampire show what with all the Twilight craze...jump on...) I'd also like to see more teen angst - on other channels, I know it's like the CW thing - but really ABC let a good thing go when they let go of My So-Called Life.
 
There are cop shows, medical shows and reality shows. That takes up about 80% of the airtime.
I quit watching TV shows a few years back.

And I work in the TV series industry.
