we qualified for phone upgrades on three lines on our account. we asked for a MytouchQ, and the women behind the counter demanded and insisted that we give her the sim card, so we gave her my moms, and she installed it for her. We still had two lines available for upgrade, again she wanted the sim cards, but we did not have them because the workers we're paying the line for are not present. She looked at me and said she needed to know the phone number we wanted for so she could program it, and that once we did, we could not put another sim card in it or it was illegal and there was like a 500 dollar fine for it.
So does mean that if you buy a t-mobile phone, and you get a new one, legally speaking, your old cellphone is useless? And you cannot give it to another t-mobile user on the same account even?
And if you want to trade phones with someone on the same account that is illegal as well?
Also i found the whole insisting for the sim card a little strange, because I ordered my phone online, and it came in the box, and i did everything myself. And we've gotten a phone before from the store and they've let us just take the box.
Please answer, and state if your 100% sure. I want to know facts.
