I chatted to a stranger online about explicit things. Turned out its someone I might know cos this person is threatening to reveal those saved chat files to friends and colleagues. Yes, he or she has contact details of people I know. However, there is no physical threats made to me or any extortion of money. The person just wants to embarass me, thats all. Could this be a criminal case? Would the police look into it and track the person down? However, the person has not done anything yet, simply wrote me an email to say that he or she is planning to forward those embarassing explicit things out to people I know.
