I live beyond the Houston city limits, and won't wander near there. I live in suburban NW Houston, and I just want to go out and ride my bike. To feel the freedom from the cars and whatnot. And it's pretty cool.

So is it illegal? I am beyond the city limits.

Is there anything I should bring with me, or watch out for? Thanks.
@Bob A: Would a flashlight work? My reflector is broken.
Also, should I worry about getting hurt by someone in the darkness? Kinda spooky out there...

depends on where you are.

most of these cops around you won't mess with you on a bike.

to ensure your safety, keep a reflector.
if your riding alot at night, flashing lights help alot.

just be quick and ready to react to people that can't see you.

other than that ride hard, keep low and don't worry about the law and just do what you need to do. keep your eyes open and don't be afraid to bail.

spooky? naw. you don't even know the half of it.
just keep your eyes open
