is it hard to get in the school team after tryouts are over?

i want to get in the badminton team at school(high school).
but tryouts already passed. i didnt realize that they were having it.
over a month has passed. can i get into the badminton team?
im sure i have the ability to make it in. i know some of the kids in the team
and theyre noobs...
