Is it fair that Ford still has to pay all it's debts itself while GM and Chrysler...

...get debt forgiveness? not all of GM and Chrysler's debt will be forgiven, but a LOT of it will be written off thanks to the taxpayers. But Ford, who hasn't come patheticly begging for taxpayer handouts still has to pay 100% of its debts on its own. Is this fair?

Thankfully we may have a car company who is half a** honest.
And due to their honesty concerning bail outs, I will do my part and buy their product.

Ford is doing things the right way. Obama is forcing GM and Chrysler to do things the wrong way. Simple. When I buy a car, I won't be heading to the GM lot. Ford will look alot more attractive.

Ford told the government that they didn't need the bail-out money. They were offered, but turned it down so obviously they figured that they can pay their bills without assistance.

Your question is incorrectly posed.

Shareholders of GM and Chrysler did lose everything.
The unfairness towards Ford and Toyota is in the conflict of interest.
Since now on the government owns part of auto industry and also regulates auto industry.

Did you ever try to play a football game if the umpire was the coach of your opponent?
