(I'll go ahead and say that I'm sorry if at any point this sounds cocky, because I don't mean for it to...I'm just curious to hear what folks have to say)
I know it's common to have an eclectic interest in various art forms, and even really common to be extremely talented at one or two of them...but is it common to be talented all around (music, drama, visual art, singing, dance, etc)?
I'm asking because I've been around a lot of artists from all walks of life, and even when I meet insanely talented individuals, they've always (or from what I can remember they have) been singularly talented in that one form... You know, friends who couldn't draw a stick figure, but they could dance or act or sing or play the guitar like you've never seen/heard...and vice versa. But I guess I'm curious because, well, I don't have that problem. To be fair, I was raised by a mother who helped me pursue any artistic interest (but most other folks have too!). Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining or trying to brag...I feel very blessed to be exceptionally good in all art forms, and I wish there were more people out there who had this eclectic ability (I wish ANYONE who enjoys art could be this way), but I just haven't found them, really...
So, I was wondering if some folks on here might be able to give some input! Maybe you're multi-talented or know someone or several people who are...just let me know. It may be more common than I realize and I'm just living in the dark, but I figured I'd ask on here and see!
