is it better to sprint 40 yards or sprint for 30 seconds to get lean?

I've been Sprinting 10 reps of 40 yards with 60 second rest almost every morning to burn fat and get lean, but I've been reading about people sprinting for 30 seconds straight and jogging 2 minutes and doing 5 reps of that. Which one is better for fat burning? Or do they work the same?
