Is it better to be yourself even if it means being single for the rest of your life?

I'm 22 straight male and never had a GF, I am just not the kind of guy that women of 2011 are attracted to and I am completely aware that nice guys finish last I have been told it, experienced it and seen the evidence of it working in security and seeing an endless amount of douche bags with cane toad arms and tapout shirts with loads of girls down their throat and i just can't bring myself to act like a jerk just to get a girl to like me. Being myself makes me happy and Im proud of who i am, I have an awesome job that I love working with children as a kindy teacher and I keep very fit cos I am so effin passionate about my interests MMA, KAPAP, parkour and have a bit of a childish side with spongebob and the simpsons and yeah it may not be attractive to females these days but If I change myself just to be accepted by people including women I feel as if I am selling my soul and lost the fight yes I'm very stubborn
