I recently started practicing alternate picking with palm mutes to up my speed on guitar and I've been getting mixed messages on the internet.
Some say that you just do palm mutes with downstrokes very quickly (and called it punk chops), while others are suggesting alternate picking.
I figure it's an opinion thing, so which do you use and which do you think it best?
