Is it bad to wear only sports bras?

When I was a kid and first developing, my doctor told my mother that I needed to get a good bra like the cross your heart bras b/c sports bras don't provide proper support. I have a large chest and personally I find bras with under wires more supportive and keep things "up"
 
Thanks to you both. I think if I found a regular bra that had the same sort of fit as a sports bra I would wear that, but I'm really bad at finding stuff that fits. I do wear it at night, mainly because I hate the feeling of being too ...free... haha.

Edit: Where can I find a cross your heart bra? I think I know which kind you mean but I've never seen them anywhere. They seem comfortable.
 
I believe cross your heart is made by Playtex. I think they sell them in the boxes in Walmart. You can also look online. I'm sure a simple search will bring it up. You may also want to look into getting measured professionally to get a bra that is the proper size. Sounds like you aren't wearing the right size bra to me.
