Is it bad to leave a blu ray disc in my ps3 while it's off or if i leave my

ps3 on overnight, is that bad? My brother is a real stupid idiot. Ive told him countless times to not leave discs inside my ps3 or leave it on overnight. He's still disobeyed me. And he thinks it wont do anything. So im asking you guys, the peeps of yahoo answers to give the truth.
 
erm i dont think leaving the disk in the ps3 while off is any problem proberly shouldnt leave it on even tho i do sometimes with my ps3 but it will wear the ps3 out quicker
 
Its not bad to do either. Leaving a disc in the drive will not hurt either the PS3 or disc at all. Leaving the PS3 on all night, will not hurt anything either. Though, it might add slightly to your electric bill.
