Is it bad to eat before working out?

What bad can come from eating before jogging? I know stomach cramps can come with excessive eating, but what if I just ate a few salad leaves before I went jogging? Does exercise hinder the absorption of nutrients?
 
You should always eat before and after working out. Personally, i would try to eat something light for the same reason you listed. Tablespoon of peanut butter? Nuts, almonds. Something with protein, a cheese stick. Something that will stick with you. And after aim for calcium with some carbs. Yogurt and granola, etc
