Is it bad luck for the groom to see the garter before the wedding?

I'm not sure if it counts as part of the gown ensemble, in which case it'd be bad luck. But I want to be sure my fiance knows which garter is the tossing garter and which one is to keep, in case they end up sliding closer together during the course of the day. Is it bad luck for him to see it before the wedding?
 
i doubt its bad luck but just in case, don't show him yours. pulll up apicture online of the two and show him which one is the throw away and which one is the keeper. also, when he's actually getting ready to take it off, remind him which one he needs to take off. lol
