Is it bad luck for the groom to see a picture of your gown?

I wanted to keep it a surprise but ended up showing him "the one" that I really want (he actually really likes that one too) and a couple of others I am considering as back ups. It was going to be a surprise but now he will be the one more than likely buying my gown so I wanted his opinion...I still plan on getting what I want but I also want to look good for him on Our day (not be in something that he finds unattractive or ugly).

FYI: He will not be present for fittings or when I try on and actually purchase the gown he's only "financing" it lol.

I don't think that showing him a picture of it is bad luck.

I showed my fiance too because of the same reason -- I wanted to be sure that he liked it. Little does he know that I've gotten the exact one that he likes the best!!

Good luck!

It's not good luck or bad luck in my opinion it just takes away from that 'wow' factor. You know when they first see you walking towards them and they loose their breath because they've never seen you look so beautiful because they've never seen the dress or your hair and makeup..you'll just loose that and it's great seeing the grooms' faces at the weddings that I've been at when they first see the brides. Take his opinions but keep the actual dress a secret. Don't let him be there when you buy it it takes the fun away!

I should hope not, i showed my fiance the ones i liked lol I think its just if he sees you in it on the day right? Im sure you wont get any badluck, dont worry yourself. congratulations btw!! xxxx

He's not supposed to see it on you. I picked a few and showed him from the catalog, but he didn't know which one I actually picked until he saw me walking down the aisle. U should tell him you are undecided on which one you like and surprise him. U may even change your mind once you try on a few, it happened to me! Best of luck on your marriage!!!
