Is it bad if your phone is fully charged but still plugged into the wall?

My phone gets fully charged sometime around 2-4am, but I don't wake up until at least 6:30; is it bad for the phone to be plugged it after it's fully charged? I have a Samsung Fascinate by verizon (I don't know if that matters)
