Is it an insult to put like on someone’s facebook status when they say they lost a

relative? Let’s say my friend’s relative died and they put on their facebook status: “My grandma died. Rest in peace.” And if I put “like” under the status, will that be an insult? Or worse, is it an insult and offensive to put: "lol" on that status or is that just so wrong?
