Is it allergies?

I've been having weird throat issues for the past six months. My throat has had minor irritation or soreness when I swallow on and off, but lately when I wake up in the morning, my throat feels very dry and painful. I felt back in my throat and there's a bunch of little bumps that seem to get bigger in the morning. Is this a result of allergies? My allergies have been acting up for longer than six months and I feel like the sore throat just came about suddenly.

I went to the doctor when this first started happening and he questioned if I had oral sex recently which made me fearful that it was an STD, but then he just said it was allergies and I should drink lots of water. But it hasn't gone away and if anything it has gotten worse. Does anyone have a similar experience to this? I would really appreciate any advice on medications, since that doctor didn't really help any.

It could also be a million more things.

Did the DR. have any blood test done?

If all the blood work came back fine then I would say try taking allergy meRAB for a couple weeks, to see if they work or not.

But the question we all what to know is did you have oral sex? JK!
