is it against the law for a minor to be forced out of high school?

Im a high school junior. my mother says that if i dont pull up my grades, she will force me to move to mexico with her and quit high school to work at the family business. is this against the law, if i dont want to move to another country (I am a U.S. born citizen)
and make me drop out of high school against my will?
take note i am a b-, c average student, living in california.
