Is it advisable to upgrade my 3gs iphone to the 4.02 firmware?

I have an IPhone 3gs with version 3.1.3 IOS on it. I am fairly happy with it. I was wondering if there are any drawbacks to the new 4.02 IOS? Perhaps less battery life or other disavantages? Please tell me your experience. I am not interested in Jailbreaking the phone so that is not a consideration. Please leave details on your experience after you upgraded to 4,02. Thanks in advance.
