Is it a grape vine in my garden?

I have recently moved in to a new house and think there is a grape vine growing in the garden. It is tied up to the fence and surrounded by pebble stones. It has grown so much in the last 3 weeks and there many many buds sprouting. How do I know if it definitely is a vine? If so, what species is it? Can I make wine from it?
