Is It A Good Sentences to Start a Dialectic?

I am trying to write a philosophy dialectic according to Plato's symposium. I want to focus on the sentences " Pregnancy, reproduction---this is an immortal thing for a mortal animal to do, and it cannot occur in anything that is out of harmony, but ugliness is out of harmony with all that is godly. Beauty, however, is in harmony with the divine".
I would focus on that love itself is not immortal, explain why it search for mortal, through what process. Do you think it can be considered as a dialectical essay?
