Is it a good idea to rent a Jeep Wrangler in Maui?

I am going in february, and looking for a rental car. I was thinking about getting a wrangler but worried about being robbed or something. Are car break ins a common occurance in maui?
I'm not worried about the crash ratings of the wrangler ( I own one and they are as safe as any other vehicle). Just wondering if people have had problems.
 
get one with hardtop and locking doors, you cant trust anyone,,, on Oahu, breakins are very very common on the island.
