Is it a good idea to bring a horse who lives alone around other horses?

I've had my mare since July now, living at my house. For the first couple weeks we barrowed a pony to stay with her, but now she lives alone. She ajusted much better than I first assumed she would. I spend a lot of time just being with her - not just riding. She has picked up a few nasty habbits, but we're working on them. I don't plan on getting another horse anytime in the next ten years either. The question is the girl I bought her from has mentioned bringing her back over there or trailering a horse to my place and go riding. But I don't really want to bring her back around horses because she would have to deal with the seperation all over again after every ride. Also I don't know how she'll react to being around horses again. Of course the previous owner disagrees. So I'd like some other oppinions please and thank you.

I am especially anxious about the previous owner because she would vent her anger on the horses (and boy she gets angry a lot) and I'm don't like the thought of her being near my horse very often...


For anyone who is curious the horse is a 4 year old bay Quarter Horse, Draft, Paint cross. She's super freindly despite her up-bringing and I absolutly love her!!!
