Is it a bad idea to buy a refurbished sony Vaio?

I want a Vaio but they're so expensive. In order tominimize pricing I have:
looked into just the "e" series, since EA, EB and EC START at $700..can't do it.

I found a manufacturer refurbished Sony Vaio VPCEB11FX/BI
-2.1GHz Intel Core i3-330M
-4 gb ram
-320gb hdd
-under six pounds [under five would be better but in my price range, $640 and under, I can't be picky]
-built in webcam
-15.5 in. display
price: $589.99 [with like 19 dollar shipping.]

OR

Not refurbished, but [also] bought from eBay:
Sony vaio VPCEE23FX/BI
-15.4 in screen
-built in web cam
-4gb ram
-320gbhdd
-under six pounds
-AMD Athlon II Dual-Core CPU P320(2.10GHz)
price: 649.99 with free shipping & comes with free $50 carrying case

One seller has 100% positive feedback on 260+ expensive items in the last twelve months [NIB], the other has 99.5% but this seller has sold 55388 items in the last 12 months [refurb seller].

Should I buy either one? Are the E series any good? I know EA and EB would be better but it's not in my budget.
Both are also considered 'top sellers'
