Yes you are able to Save a yahoo chat conversation.
Click Preferences
Click Archives
Check "Yes, save all of my Messages".
Click Apply, then Click OK.
Your Chat Messages will then be saved/archived to view.
(you may also do this with your Call History if you prefer)
