I am making a my own copy of van halen's frankenstrat and I dont want to spend alot of money in case I mess up, so im getting a squire bullet. Unfortunately, these guitars only come with a white pickgaurd but it needs to be black. Would it work ot just sray paint it black? Or shuld I do like eddie did and cut up an old record?
